Five teams chase inaugural national futsal crown on Super Final Day
Jamaica’s first national futsal and scrimmage championship is set to be decided on Saturday, bringing a month of competition to a close at the Captain Horace Burrell Centre of Excellence.
Five teams remain in contention heading into the final day. Beacon FA and QVC, both from St. Elizabeth, will first meet to determine which side advances as the Southwest representative.
That playoff winner will move on to face King FA of St. Ann, who secured the Northeast title after beating Lime Hall. Schemers FC of St. James have already booked their spot as Northwest champions, having defeated Lucy FC to reach the national stage.
Medley Mixers claimed the Southeast region, getting past St. Catherine rivals Soccer Saints to complete the final-four picture.
On Super Final Day, Schemers FC will take on Medley Mixers, while King FA will oppose the winner of the St. Elizabeth playoff. Matches are scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
