Two killed, two wounded in Waterford shooting in Portmore

A late-night shooting in Waterford, Portmore, St. Catherine left two men dead and two others injured last night.

The men who died have been named as 26-year-old Antoine Reid, also known as “Junior” and “Gong”, and 26-year-old Shahid Roach, also called “Sid”. Both were from Waterford.

According to reports, about 10:30 p.m., Reid and Roach were with a group of men at the junction of Logwood and Dias roads when a grey motorcar arrived. A man is said to have got out, pulled a handgun and fired at the group, striking the men several times to their upper bodies.

The attacker then left in the vehicle, which drove off from the community. Police were called, and the injured men were taken to hospital. Reid and Roach were later pronounced dead. The probe is continuing.
