Ozaiah Williams Killed in Old Harbour Accident: A tragic incident in Old Harbour, St Catherine, has claimed the life of a three-year-old boy after he was reportedly struck by a motor vehicle on Saturday evening.
The child has been identified as Ozaiah Williams of Blackwood Gardens in Old Harbour Bay.
According to police reports, the incident occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. along Terminal Road in Old Harbour.
Investigators say Ozaiah reportedly broke free from his mother’s grip and ran onto the roadway, where he entered the path of a white 2017 Toyota Probox. The vehicle struck the child, who sustained fatal injuries.
The Old Harbour police are continuing investigations into the circumstances surrounding the heartbreaking incident.
The latest figures from the Island Traffic Authority show that, as of June 26, Jamaica had recorded 137 road fatalities in 123 fatal crashes, underscoring the continued concern over road safety across the island.
