JPS Reports Full Restoration After Jamaica Power Blackout
The Jamaica Public Service says every customer who lost electricity during the nationwide blackout has now been reconnected.
In a statement issued Saturday, the utility said the final group of affected customers got back power at 6:30 a.m.
JPS said its Incident Command System is still in operation while teams keep watch over the electricity grid, check that service remains stable and investigate what caused the disruption.
The company added that crews are also responding to limited localised outages that are separate from the national blackout.
