Company to enter new phase of growth and transformation

Paymaster Jamaica Limited announced the successful completion of a transaction under which its Founder, Ambassador Audrey Marks, has reacquired Digicel’s 80% ownership stake in APM Holdings Limited, the parent company of Paymaster Jamaica Limited.

The transaction concludes discussions that commenced in 2024, prior to Ambassador Marks assuming her current public responsibilities as Minister of Efficiency, Innovation and Digital Transformation and Member of Parliament for North East Manchester.

Founded by Ambassador Marks in 1997, Paymaster has grown to become one of Jamaica’s most recognised and trusted payment services providers, serving individuals, businesses, government entities, and communities across the island through its extensive network and innovative payment solutions.

Speaking on the transaction, Ambassador Marks noted that the reacquisition represents both a return to the Company’s entrepreneurial roots and the beginning of an exciting new chapter focused on growth, modernisation, and enhanced customer service.

“Paymaster has always been about innovation, accessibility, and delivering value to our customers. This transaction allows the Company to build on its strong foundation while positioning for future growth opportunities in an increasingly technology-driven environment,” said Ambassador Marks.

Given her current commitments and as part of its next phase of development, Paymaster will engage strategic management support. This is intended to ensure continuity, effective execution, strengthened governance, and appropriate operational oversight as the Company advances its transformation agenda.

Importantly, Paymaster’s day-to-day operations will continue uninterrupted. Customers, partners, billers, agents, and stakeholders can expect business continuity and a renewed commitment to service excellence.

Paymaster extends its appreciation to Digicel for its partnership and support over the years and looks forward to working closely with all stakeholders as it embarks on this exciting new phase of growth and transformation.
