B.B. Coke High Student Charged: A 15-year-old student of B.B. Coke High School in Junction, St Elizabeth, has been charged with robbery with aggravation and assault occasioning bodily harm following an incident involving a fellow student at the institution last month.
According to reports from the St Elizabeth Police, the incident occurred at approximately 11 a.m. on May 26 on the school compound.
Investigators allege that a 13-year-old female student was inside a bathroom when she was approached by the accused student and two other females whose faces were reportedly covered.
The police say the 15-year-old allegedly slapped the complainant three times before stomping her in the stomach, causing bruising, swelling, and pain.
It is further alleged that the accused then held a knife to the girl’s neck and robbed her of $450 in cash.
Following the incident, a report was made to the police and an investigation was launched.
After conducting inquiries, detectives formally charged the teenager with robbery with aggravation and assault occasioning bodily harm.
The accused is expected to appear before the court, with a date currently being finalised by the authorities.
Police investigations into the matter remain ongoing.
