Beneficiaries of government container homes to receive grants to construct bases for units

Beneficiaries of container homes from government will be given grants to pay for construction of the bases for the units.
Minister with responsibility for Land Titling and Settlements Robert Montague gave the update while viewing the units that recently arrived in island.
The 924 units are being stored at various locations across 3 parishes.
Speaking at viewing of units at the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Management (ODPEM) storage facility in Twickenham Park, St. Catherine, Montague noted that another 500 units are expected within the next three weeks.
He said the efforts are being guided by strict environmental and safety considerations under direct instructions from the prime minister.
