'Boo' gunned down while playing dominoes in Portmore

A casual game of dominoes turned into a crime scene Sunday night when a gunman entered a Portmore bar in St Catherine and shot a construction worker dead before speeding off in a getaway car.
Dead is 24-year-old Davian Smith, otherwise called 'Boo', of March Pen Road in Spanish Town, in the parish.
Reports are that about 8:50 p.m. on April 26, Smith was with three other men playing dominoes at the bar when a Honda Stream motor car pulled up outside.
Police say a man exited the vehicle, walked into the establishment and pulled a handgun from his waistband and opened fire.
Smith was hit multiple times in the upper body and collapsed on the spot.
The gunman then ran from the bar, jumped back into the waiting vehicle, and sped away from the scene.
Smith was rushed to the Spanish Town Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Investigators say no motive has yet been established.
The Portmore Criminal Investigation Branch has since launched a probe into the killing.
