Khadija Shaw Named WSL Player Of The Season After Manchester City Title Run

Khadija "Bunny" Shaw, the Jamaican striker leading Manchester City's attack, has been voted the Women's Super League Player of the Season after a powerful campaign in England.
The 29-year-old also collected the Golden Boot for a third year in a row, finishing with 21 goals from 22 league appearances as City captured their first WSL title in a decade.
The latest honour follows a strong run of recognition for Shaw. Earlier in May, she received the Football Writers' Association Award, and only days ago she was also chosen as Manchester City's player of the year.
Since joining City in 2021, Shaw has repeatedly carried the club's scoring load, ending four of her five seasons as its top marksman. She has also set a WSL benchmark with six career hat-tricks.
Among her biggest performances this season were a hat-trick against Tottenham, four goals against Aston Villa, and the early strike that helped City beat Arsenal 3-2 in October.
Shaw could still finish the season with another trophy if Manchester City get past Brighton in the Women's FA Cup final.
