Cavalier stun MBU to advance to fourth consecutive JPL final

KINGSTON, Jamaica – Defending champions Cavalier are through to the final of the Jamaica Premier League for the fourth consecutive year after overturning a first leg 1-0 deficit to beat Montego Bay United 2-0 in extra time in the second leg of their semi-finals at the National Stadium on Wednesday.
Kimarly Scott scored both goals for Cavalier, who also qualified for the Concacaf Caribbean Cup set to kick off in August.
In Sunday’s final, Cavalier will meet Portmore United who had beaten Mt Pleasant FA 4-3 on aggregate after losing their first leg 1-0.

Mt Pleasant, the reigning Concacaf Caribbean Cup holders, will meet Montego Bay United in the third place play-offs on Sunday with the winners qualifying for the CFU Club Shield.
On Wednesday, Cavalier, who had scored an own goal in the first leg to concede the lead, leveled the scores on aggregate in the 54th minute when Scott headed a corner into the far left corner of the goal.
He got the winner in the 98th minute, the first half of extra time as Cavalier rallied from behind to snatch victory.
