

James Godfrey out of Barita Group
Barita Investments Limited has advised that James Godfrey did not seek re-election as a Director of the company at its 48th Annual General Meeting, held on Thursday, July 9, 2026.
Director Godfrey also resigned as a Director of Barita’s subsidiary company, Barita Unit Trusts Management Company, effective July 3, 2026. Godfrey has served on Barita Investments since August 28, 2018, following its acquisition by parent company, Cornerstone.
He also served on the Unit Trust subsidiary from February 4, 2021. The Board expresses its sincere appreciation to Godfrey for his dedicated service and valued contributions to both entities during his tenure and extends its best wishes to him in his future endeavours.

“We recognise and acknowledge, especially her service as Company Secretary for the almost six and a half years between January 2017 and May 31, 2024. It is noteworthy that this period of her service included the company’s transition from a private entity to a listed entity on the junior market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange,” the board remarked in a regulatory notice, while extending its best regards to Dr Allison Vaughan.
