Courtney Undah Privilege and Money B Unite on Dancehall-Hip-Hop Single GMML

Reggae and dancehall performer Courtney Undah Privilege has joined forces with Money B, a member of the renowned hip-hop act Digital Underground, for the single GMML (Gi Me Me Loot).

The recording grew out of a friendship established several years ago after the artistes met in Oakland, California. Their longstanding connection shaped the collaboration, with Courtney Undah Privilege delivering an energetic and compelling performance while Money B brings his recognisable calm but commanding style.

The resulting track combines Caribbean musical elements with sounds associated with the West Coast. Courtney Undah Privilege said previous projects with Money B had already created a strong musical relationship, making the GMML recording process straightforward.

Courtney Undah Privilege is also the performer behind the well-known sample, "Six Million Ways to Die, Choose One." The phrase has been used in reggae, dancehall and hip-hop music across several generations.

He wants GMML to attract listeners worldwide through its mixture of dancehall and hip-hop. The singer is particularly hoping to connect with hip-hop fans and generate renewed appreciation for Money B's contribution to the genre. Money B performed in Digital Underground with his late bandmates Shock G and Tupac.

Courtney Undah Privilege has also developed a career in television and cinema. He plays Melvin in Arnold's Caribbean Pizza, a production involving Bentley Kyle Evans, known for Martin and The Jamie Foxx Show, and Trae Ireland.

His film work includes appearances in Gangsta's Paradise, Straight Out and Rude Boy the Jamaican Don. Those roles form part of his continuing work as a storyteller across different entertainment formats.

Through Podeville Productions, his production company, Courtney Undah Privilege is now widening the scope of his creative projects. The company is working with Mix Frames Entertainment to develop Dream Chaser, a film focused on vision, perseverance and the effort required to achieve success. Its release is planned for this summer.
