Novak Djokovic defeated Arthur Rinderknech to reach the fourth round at Wimbledon.

The seven time champion was pushed much harder than in his previous match but held on for a 7-5, 6-4, 1-6, 7-6 (7-4) victory after nearly losing control in the third set.

The win takes Djokovic to 105 singles victories at Wimbledon, matching Roger Federer for the most men’s singles wins at the tournament. He has also reached the fourth round at the All England Club for the 18th time, equalling another Federer record.

Djokovic laughed off the achievement by joking that he and Federer should settle the record with one final match to decide who reaches 106 wins first.

Next up for the Serbian star is Russian qualifier Roman Safiullin, who stunned João Fonseca in straight sets to book his place in the fourth round.
