
Dr. Wheatley says report from Integrity Commission is false and misleading; instructs legal team to pursue vigorous defence
Member of Parliament for South Central St. Catherine, Dr. Andrew Wheatley has described a report from the Integrity Commission as false, inaccurate and grossly misleading.
The Commission’s report which was tabled in Parliament today relates to allegations that over a 9 year period, Dr. Wheatley had assets disproportionate to his earnings, amounting to approximately $164 million.
Dr. Wheatley has instructed his legal team to pursue a vigorous defence in response to false allegations.
He has also expressed confidence in a positive outcome.
The MP said he is amazed at the Commission’s report, which was done, despite his cooperation by providing proof of earnings.
