Drake floods US album charts with Iceman trilogy and dancehall ties

Canadian rapper Drake pulled off a triple launch on Friday, delivering his long-anticipated album Iceman along with companion projects Habibti and Maid Of Honour. The 43-track collection sheds light on where his head has been since his feud with Kendrick Lamar and turns toward more personal ground.
Within hours of the drop, Drake owned every slot in the Top 3 on both the United States Apple Music and iTunes album charts. Iceman held number one, Maid Of Honour number two, and Habibti number three.
The rollout also carries Jamaican dancehall fingerprints. The track "Amazing Shape" pairs Drake with Popcaan, while "New Bestie" includes a shoutout to Vybz Kartel.
