Rising dancehall talent Romeii
Hailing from the inner city community of Gordon Pen in Spanish Town, emerging dancehall talent Romeii continues carving his own lane with the release of his latest single, “Luv E Badness,” a gritty yet melodic track rooted in raw street reality and authentic Jamaican storytelling.
Romeii, whose given name is Romeo McDonald, blends modern dancehall energy with emotional honesty, creating music that reflects the everyday struggles, ambition, loyalty, pain, and determination of youths growing up in Jamaica’s inner-city communities. Through his music, he aims to give a voice to many young people from the ghetto, allowing them to relate to and reflect on their daily realities through his songs.
“Mi just a speak weh mi see and weh enough youths live every day. Music fi us is more than entertainment - it’s a voice, a reflection of the struggle, and motivation fi rise above it,” Romeii shared.
Produced by Yaad Leaf Entertainment and Cjay Welsh, “Luv E Badness” continues to showcase Romeii’s growing artistic identity and authentic approach to dancehall music.
While the track captures the harsh realities of the environment around him, it also carries a strong sense of resilience and ambition, highlighting an artiste determined to rise above his circumstances and make his mark globally.
