FIFA Names Dai Dai as 2026 World Cup Anthem With Shakira and Burna Boy

The tournament now has a designated anthem. Football's governing body said in a Friday statement that Colombian performer Shakira and Nigerian singer-songwriter Burna Boy recorded the track together under the title Dai Dai.
FIFA stated that "Dai Dai brings together the global sounds and energy of Shakira and Burna Boy in a vibrant celebration of football." The single is already on major streaming services, and FIFA said earnings from it will go to the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.
The music news came a day after FIFA disclosed plans for the championship match on July 19 in New Jersey. That fixture will include a high-profile halftime performance led by Madonna, Shakira, and boy band BTS. The World Cup opens in June and will be staged across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
