FIFA names ‘Dai Dai’ as official 2026 World Cup single with Shakira and Burna Boy

World football’s governing body has lined up a flagship recording for the men’s World Cup. In a Friday briefing, FIFA said Grammy-winning performer Shakira and Nigerian singer-songwriter Burna Boy jointly issued the track “Dai Dai.” According to FIFA, “Dai Dai brings together the global sounds and energy of Shakira and Burna Boy in a vibrant celebration of football.” FIFA added that proceeds generated when fans stream the title on major digital platforms will be channelled into the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund.
The song news followed a Thursday disclosure that the 19 July championship clash in New Jersey will break for a heavyweight interval show built around Madonna, Shakira, and boy band BTS. The month-long tournament gets under way in June and will be shared between the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
