GraceKennedy to feature Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, Grace Foods and GK One at Jamaica Diaspora Conference

St. James

GraceKennedy is set to have a major presence at the 11th Biennial Jamaica Diaspora Conference, where Jamaican sprint great and GraceKennedy Brand Ambassador the Hon. Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, OJ, CD, will take part in a special panel discussion.

The conference is slated for June 14 to 18, 2026, at the Montego Bay Convention Centre in St James. GraceKennedy, also known as GK, is returning as one of the event's Legacy Partners and will use its food and financial services operations to support several parts of the programme.

Fraser-Pryce will be among the featured speakers for a panel session focused on her career, her wider experience, and the part Jamaicans play in driving high standards and meaningful influence both locally and overseas.

"GraceKennedy has proudly supported the Jamaica Diaspora Conference since its inception because we recognise the tremendous contributions of Jamaicans living overseas," said Frank James, Group Chief Executive Officer of GraceKennedy Limited. "We are excited to welcome delegates back to Jamaica and to continue strengthening the partnerships that contribute to our country's growth and development. We are also especially pleased to facilitate Shelly-Ann's participation in this year's conference, as she embodies the excellence, resilience and global impact that Jamaicans - and GraceKennedy - are known for worldwide."

Delegates attending the June conference will be able to interact with several GraceKennedy products, services and brand experiences. Among the planned highlights are Grace Foods tastings, registration opportunities for the GK One app and GK One prepaid Visa card, and an appearance by Fraser-Pryce, who is also associated with the GK One "Shelly" prepaid Visa card.

Grace Foods will operate an interactive booth offering samples and cooking demonstrations. The showcase will feature Grace Green Seasoning, Grace Honey Jerk Sauce and Grace BBQ Sauce.

GK Foods will also be part of a conference panel titled "Advancing Sustainable Agriculture and Food Security through Diaspora Partnership". David Neil Crum-Ewing, Operations Executive for the GK Foods & Services Manufacturing Division, is scheduled to participate in that discussion.

Catherine's Peak, the GK Foods spring water brand, has been named the exclusive water partner for the 2026 staging of the conference.

On the financial services side, GraceKennedy Financial Group will introduce delegates to the GK One mobile wallet app. The platform allows users, including Jamaicans in the diaspora, to send and receive remittances, pay bills in Jamaica, buy third-party motor vehicle insurance, apply for First Global Bank credit cards, and fund transactions with any Visa or Mastercard debit or credit card.

The GK One Visa Prepaid Card supports the app and can be used globally wherever Visa cards are accepted. To sign up, users need a Tax Registration Number and a valid Jamaican government-issued photo identification. Delegates without those documents will be able to seek help through the Government at Your Service booths.

GraceKennedy will also partner with fellow Legacy Partners JN Group and VM Group to host a hospitality event for delegates on June 16, with Jamaican music and food forming part of the cultural celebration.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade is hosting the 11th Biennial Jamaica Diaspora Conference under the theme "Diaspora Partnerships: Rebuilding a More Resilient Jamaica". The event is expected to bring Jamaicans from across the globe together to discuss investment, cooperation and national development opportunities.
