IShowSpeed Touches Down in Jamaica on Caribbean Streaming Tour

KINGSTON, Jamaica — US streamer IShowSpeed is now in Jamaica as his current Caribbean tour continues.

The internet star, born Darren Jason Watkins Jr, has built a huge audience through fast-paced live broadcasts and commands a major following on platforms such as YouTube and Twitch. Ahead of his landing, Jamaican social media users were actively talking about his arrival. He has more than 50 million subscribers on YouTube.

Before reaching Jamaica, Speed had already made tour stops in Trinidad and Tobago, the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, where he streamed from public spaces and connected with supporters on the ground. This regional run comes after earlier tour stretches across Africa, Europe and Latin America that drew millions of viewers worldwide.

At Norman Manley International Airport, he was greeted by Junkanoo performers and briefly joined them in a dance before being escorted onward.
