Jamaica and Guyana have signed a memorandum of understanding, formalising a cooperative arrangement between the two Caribbean governments.

The agreement was marked at a signing ceremony captured in extended broadcast coverage released by the Public Broadcasting Corporation of Jamaica (PBCJ). The state broadcaster’s recording runs more than half an hour, indicating a full programme of the event rather than a brief news clip.

PBCJ, which carries national and regional events as part of its mandate, posted the footage to its official YouTube channel. The video is titled to reflect the MOU signing between the two countries.

Further particulars of the memorandum — including its subject areas, the officials who signed on behalf of each government, and the venue — were not stated in the material supplied with the broadcast.

The signing nonetheless represents a documented bilateral step between Kingston and Georgetown at a time when Caribbean states continue to pursue closer ties across trade, development, and regional affairs.
