Jamaica Producers Profit Climbs To J$2.3 Billion In 2025

Jamaica Producers Group closed 2025 with stronger earnings, reporting J$2.3 billion in net profit due to shareholders, 42 per cent above the previous year.
At the company's annual general meeting, Chairman Charles Johnston said the outcome was supported by continued improvement in its Pan Jamaica Group investment and careful capital management across the portfolio. He said the results showed the strength of the group's diversified approach despite difficulties that included Hurricane Melissa.
A key contributor was Jamaica Producers Group's 34.6 per cent interest in Pan Jamaica Group. Its share of Pan Jamaica's profit increased 38 per cent to $2.2 billion.
The company also secured a beach licence, started subdivision planning, and began work on a commercial centre and gas station project. A long-term land-use plan was also launched, covering agricultural, residential, commercial and renewable energy development.
Johnston said Jamaica Producers Group intends to keep backing Pan Jamaica Group's growth while extracting value from its own land holdings and sticking with a cautious investment strategy.
