JCSA Sets May 26 Talks With NWA Over Restructuring Concerns

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Jamaica Civil Service Association says it will sit down with National Works Agency management at 10:00 am on Tuesday, May 26, to discuss worker complaints tied to restructuring, reclassification and other pressing issues.

In a release issued Wednesday, the JCSA said it is calling on members to go back to their jobs on Thursday, May 21, 2026, while talks are awaited with NWA management and the Ministry of Finance and the Public Service.

The union also asked members to dress in black on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, to demonstrate unity as it presses for swift movement and settlement of the matters affecting employees.

“The JCSA remains committed to constructive dialogue and to ensuring fairness, transparency, and equitable treatment for all workers,” the association said.
