LASCO Manufacturing profit rises to $2.76 billion for financial year
LASCO Manufacturing closed its 2025-2026 financial year with stronger earnings, even as the company said trading conditions were difficult.
Audited figures for the year ended March 31 show net profit moving up 7.6 per cent to $2.76 billion.
The manufacturer said its performance came against the backdrop of supply chain problems, geopolitical pressures, wider economic risks and the disruption caused by Hurricane Melissa in the third quarter.
Despite those challenges, LASCO Manufacturing credited better operating margins and improved efficiencies for helping to lift profitability.
In the fourth quarter, revenue increased 16.9 per cent to $3.4 billion. Net profit for the same period reached $735 million, which the company said was its best quarterly result for the financial year.
LASCO Manufacturing also reported that it has finished installing and commissioning a new high-speed line for filling beverages and water.
The company said that investment should raise production capacity, improve efficiency across operations and give it more flexibility in its product output.
