Ministry of Health Netball Team Takes Third at Civil Service Sports Meet

The Ministry of Health and Wellness netball team finished third in the Civil Service Sports Competition following a series of matches at Jess Park.

The health ministry squad met the customs team in a tightly fought contest. Customs entered with a seasoned roster, while the MOHW women had prepared through demanding training sessions. In one fixture the ministry side lost by a single goal. Though the narrow defeat was disappointing, team leadership said the players competed hard to the final whistle and remained proud of the effort.

Across the competition, shooting from the attack end and work in the midcourt stood out as strengths. In another outing at the same venue, the ministry lineup secured a clear win. Coaching staff used that match to rotate players and test line-ups ahead of the finals, giving every squad member court time. Those who stepped in performed well in their assigned roles.

With the knockout stages ahead, the MOHW contingent said it would press on through the remainder of the tournament. Officials expressed confidence that continued preparation would help the side improve on its third-place standing in the civil-service netball bracket.
