Nautical Star tipped for Labour Day Trophy at Caymanas Park
Imported runner Nautical Star has been installed as the 4-5 ante-post choice for Monday’s Labour Day Trophy, the feature overnight allowance event for horses three years old and upward at Caymanas Park.
The seven-furlong contest is scheduled for a 3:50 p.m. start and has drawn nine starters. Nautical Star returns from a four-month break seeking a second straight win, with two-time champion jockey Raddesh Roman booked to ride for three-time former champion trainer Anthony Nunes.
The six-year-old dark bay has shown steady preparation in recent weeks. For three consecutive weeks, he has worked five furlongs in exercise, including a clocking of 1:01 4/5 from the mile chute last Monday.
Supremacy, My Identity and American Aviator are among the rivals expected to make their presence felt in the feature. Monday’s programme carries 10 races, with first post set for 11:45 a.m.
