To: All News Editors April 6 , 2026 For Immediate Release NWC to Ease Water Restrictions on Constant Spring Network The National Water Commission (NWC) is advising customers served by the Co nstant Spring water supply system in Kingston and St. Andrew (KSA) that a relaxation of the current water supply regulations will take effe ct on Wednesday, April 8, 2026. This adjustment follows a sustained period of rainfall over the past two weeks, whic h has resulted in significant improvements in inflows to the Hermitage Dam. Storage levels have increased from below 65% to approximately 90%, allowing the Commission to move forward with the restoration of no rmal water supply arrangements. Acting Vice Pr esident for Operat ions, Herman Fagan, stated that “ the decision to relax the measures represents the fulfilment of the Commission’s commitment to ease restri ctions once conditions improve . ” He further noted that the recent inflows have created the necessary buffer t o support a return to normal operations. Accordingly, customers can expect a return to 24 - hour water supply. Mr. Fagan is also encouraging all customers to continue practising responsible water use. This includes conserving water, promptly reporting leak s, and repairing leaks within their premises.
