A police shooting in Trelawny on Saturday night left one man dead and two others hospitalised following an alleged confrontation with lawmen in Hague.
According to reports, shortly after 8:00 pm, the men were travelling in a Toyota Probox with a group of individuals when police reportedly came under gunfire. Officers allegedly returned fire during the incident.
After the shooting ended, three men were discovered suffering from gunshot wounds. They were transported to hospital, where one was pronounced dead while the other two were admitted under police guard, according to a police source.
The identities of the men have not yet been released.
The Independent Commission of Investigations (INDECOM) has launched a probe into the fatal shooting.
