OUR seeks JPS report after June 5 blackout across Jamaica

The Office of Utilities Regulation says it is in talks with the Jamaica Public Service Company after the June 5 power failure left customers without electricity across the country.

OUR has asked JPS to submit an initial report by Monday, June 8, setting out how the outage unfolded, what may have helped trigger it, how the grid was affected, and what actions are planned to reduce the chance of another shutdown.
