JCF keeps officers at Stella Maris Prep after threat video in St. Andrew

The Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) says it will continue to station personnel at Stella Maris Preparatory School in St. Andrew after a reported threat against the institution.

According to reports, the school received a video showing a masked man making threats.

The Major Organised Crime and Anti-Corruption Agency (MOCA) has started an investigation into the incident.

The JCF’s Community Safety and Security Branch (CSSB) provided support to the school on Friday morning.

Speaking with IRIE FM News, Principal Sister Mary Josephs said some students stayed away from classes, but overall the situation at the school remained mostly calm.

She added that armed security guards and police officers are still on location.
