CLARENDON, Jamaica — Police are investigating the suspected suicide of a 17-year-old college student in Carty Hill near James Hill, Clarendon.
The deceased has been identified as Brantae Shaw, a resident of Carty Hill and a student of Knox Community College.
Reports indicate that at approximately 8:25 p.m. on Tuesday, a relative discovered Shaw hanging inside a chicken coop at the family home and alerted the police.
Law enforcement officers responded to the scene, and an investigation has been launched by the Frankfield Police to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
