Government ministers set for weekly post-Cabinet media briefing at Jamaica House
The Government of Jamaica will hold its weekly post-Cabinet press briefing on Wednesday, 24 June 2026, starting at 9:00 a.m. at the Banquet Hall, Jamaica House, in Kingston.
Senator Dr the Hon Dana Morris Dixon, Minister of Education, Skills, Youth and Information, will chair the session. She will be joined by the Hon Edmund Bartlett, Minister of Tourism, and the Hon Matthew Samuda, Minister of Water, Environment and Climate Change.
The briefing is the administration's regular forum for reporting Cabinet decisions and explaining programmes that affect citizens nationwide. Officials use the occasion to outline policy direction, development projects and sector updates in plain terms for the public and the press.
This week's session is slated to cover Jamaica's education transformation agenda, recent performance in the tourism sector, strategies for climate resilience, water management initiatives and other national developments with island-wide impact.
