In April of this year, a gunman caused mayhem at the Correspondents’ Dinner where President Trump was the special guest speaker. A young man set out to kill the President and leading members of his Cabinet.
The gunman was thwarted, and President Trump vowed to attend and speak at another Correspondents’ Dinner to be scheduled at another date.
It didn’t take too long, with it held three months later.
It was held yesterday at the Washington Waldorf Astoria
