Jason Russell Secures Second Term as Montego Bay Chamber President

St. James

ST JAMES, Jamaica — Businessman Jason Russell has been given another year at the helm of the Montego Bay Chamber of Commerce.

Russell faced no challenger when the chamber held its annual general meeting on Wednesday evening at the University of the West Indies-Western Jamaica Campus. He originally took office last year after Oral Heaven, the former president, opted not to run again.

During the meeting, Russell was commended for his “down to earth leadership style” and for the way he led after Hurricane Melissa affected Jamaica.

The chamber also returned Paulette Neil as first vice president, Nadine Spence as second vice president and Richard Burrowes as third vice president, all without opposition.

The executive team will work alongside 14 directors. Eight of those directors are continuing members, while the remaining six are new to the board.
