Four-time Grammy-winning Latin pop icon Shakira, widely regarded as the queen of Latin music, has announced the official 2026 FIFA World Cup song “Dai Dai” alongside Nigerian Afrobeats giant Burna Boy. The track will serve as the official anthem for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
“From Maracanã Stadium, here is ‘Dai Dai,’ the Official Song for FFOFA 2026. Coming 5/14. We’re ready!” she shared on social media, alongside a teaser from the official video filmed inside the iconic stadium.
Shakira, who is currently in Rio de Janeiro for the “Todo Mundo No Rio 2026” event, received a Fluminense FC jersey during a special visit to Maracanã Stadium. The global superstar was also presented with a CR Flamengo jersey, with both clubs sharing management of the iconic stadium, and thanked them for the gifts in Portuguese.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup is set to kick off on June 11 at Estadio Azteca in Mexico City, with one of the three host nations opening the tournament against the South Africa national football team.
The global superstar is also set to return to stages across the United States this summer for another leg of her “Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran” tour. The upcoming run opens with two nights at the Intuit Dome on June 13 and 14, before concluding on July 25 at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City.
