Shenseea dips, Sister Nancy rises

Shenseea’s stint at the top of the Billboard Latin Airplay chart has come to an end. Her collaboration, Echo (FIFA World Cup 2026) with Daddy Yankee, falls from #1 to #6. It spent one week in pole position.

Over on Billboard’s Rhythmic Airplay chart, Echo tumbles from #29 to #38 in its eighth week on the tally, where it peaked at #26.

Meanwhile, iconic dancehall artiste Sister Nancy’s voice continues to soar on the charts. Her 1982 hit Bam Bam, which has been reconstructed into an Afrobeat/House/Electronic hit titled Jamaican (Bam Bam) and credited to producers HUGEL and SOLTO, makes major moves on two global charts.

On Billboard’s Global 200 chart, the song steps up from #82 to #63, while over on Global Excluding US, the song moves from #34 to #31 in its 16th week.

The song fares better on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, holding firm at #19 in its 23rd week, while backtracking from #15 to #14 on Billboard’s Warm Global Dance Radio chart.

Cheap Thrills by Sia featuring Sean Paul has re-entered the Billboard Global 200 at #139, while on Global Excluding US chart it zooms from #168 to #90.

Producer Rvssian still maintains a presence on the Billboard Latin charts with PONGO featuring Rauw Alejandro and Wizkid dipping from #41 to #47 on Latin Airplay, while slipping from #18 to #22 on Hot Latin Rhythm Songs. Over on Latin Rhythm Airplay, PONGO falls from #9 to #13 in its 15th week.

Spin by Kevin Ross, a production by Jamaican producer Kheilstone, moves up from #27 to #22 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip Hop Airplay while parachuting from #5 to #6 in its 14th week on Adult R&B Airplay.

Bob Marley and the Wailers continues to lead the pack at the top of Billboard’s Reggae Albums chart, spending 339 non-consecutive weeks at #1.

Best of Shaggy: The Boombastic Collection is #2, while Sean Paul’s The Trinity stays at #3.

World on Fire by Stick Figure, Greatest Hits by UB40, and Wisdom by Stick Figure are #4, 5 and 6, respectively.

Sean Paul’s Grammy-winning Dutty Rock dips to #7, Set in Stone by Stick Figure is firm at #8, so too Exodus by Bob Marley and the Wailers at #9, and Kaya by Bob Marley and the Wailers re-enters at #10.

Moving now to regional charts, Student of a Broken Heart by multi-JUNO Reggae Recording of the Year winner Exco Levi, spends a second week at #1 on the Reggae North Canadian Top 20 Reggae and Dancehall chart.

In the meantime, Reggae Music Nice by Legato is #2, while Rise Up by Belinda Brady rises two places to #3. Ten Foot Wall by Tasha T steps up from #6 to #4 and Thinking About You by Shanseea hops two places to #5.

Buju Banton’s Butterflies spends a fifth week at #1 on the South Florida Reggae chart. Wet Sugar by Richie Stephens bolts from #8 to #4, while Terry Linen’s Lift Me Higher enters at #21.

Also new this week are When You Love Me by Marcia Griffiths (#22) and There is Something On Your Mind by Tony Roy (#25).

Wet Sugar by Richie Stephens takes over the #1 spot on the New York Reggae chart, with Goddess by Protoje and Shenseea moving from #13 to #10.

Summertime by The Meditations (#27), One Jamaica by Xaymacans for Jamaica (#28), and Are You Ready by Burning Spear and Luciano (#30) are the new entries.
