Spanish Town Primary and McAuley Primary will face off in the championship match of the Fast Recovery 15-over cricket competition after both sides won their semi-finals on Tuesday.
Spanish Town moved a step closer to defending their title with a nine-wicket victory over Angels Primary. Angels struggled with the bat and were dismissed for 18 in 5.4 overs. Christina O'Connor led the attack with figures of four wickets for nine runs. Chasing a modest target, Spanish Town reached 24 for one in 2.2 overs. The innings included 16 extras, while O'Connor contributed four runs with the bat.
In the second semi-final, McAuley defeated St. John's Primary by seven wickets. St. John's posted 101 for five from their 15 overs. Tajay Ellis top-scored with 20, and Shakima Beddinston added 14. Alicia Freeman was the pick of the McAuley bowlers, finishing with two wickets for 14.
McAuley overhauled the target comfortably, ending on 102 for two in 13.1 overs. Jamore Wilson fell just short of a half-century, making 46 from 27 deliveries, including eight fours and one six.
The final brings together the two strongest performers from the semi-final round in the Fast Recovery competition.
