Police in the St Catherine North Division are investigating a fatal shooting in the Shady Grove community that left one man dead and a woman nursing gunshot injuries on Friday morning.
According to preliminary reports, the incident unfolded about 11 a.m. when explosions believed to be gunfire were heard in the area. Residents later discovered a man and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds.
Both victims were rushed to hospital for medical treatment. However, the man later died while undergoing treatment.

Police have not yet released the identities of the victims or disclosed a motive for the attack. Investigators are now seeking the gunmen responsible for the deadly shooting.
