ST THOMAS, Jamaica: Vendor Shot Dead — Police in St Thomas are investigating the fatal shooting of a 47-year-old vendor in Ball Ground on Sunday night.
The deceased has been identified as Valmore Anthony Henry, otherwise known as “Scabo”, of Danvers Pen in the parish.
According to police reports, about 11:10 p.m., residents heard several loud explosions in the Ball Ground community. After checking the area, they discovered Henry suffering from what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds.
The police were alerted and responded to the scene, where Henry was found lying in a pool of blood. Investigators processed the area before his body was removed to the Princess Margaret Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Detectives have not yet established a motive for the killing.
The Morant Bay Criminal Investigation Branch is continuing investigations into the incident.
