Teenage Girls Charged After Stabbing 64-Year-Old Man at Montego Bay Villa
A 64-year-old man remains hospitalised in serious condition after he was stabbed during an arranged late-night encounter with two teenage girls at a villa in Montego Bay, police have reported. The girls, aged 15 and 14, are in custody facing charges of attempted murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and simple larceny.
According to investigators, the complainant arranged to meet the teenagers around 3:00 a.m. on July 5 for a sexual encounter at the property. Before that meeting, police say the girls bought duct tape, knives, tarpaulin, and other items.
The man reportedly collected the two girls the previous night and transported them to the location. After he entered the room where the encounter was reportedly set to take place, he was allegedly attacked. He sustained stab wounds to his face, neck, and back but managed to escape the room and raise an alarm.
The suspects are alleged to have seized the man's Datsun motor vehicle and fled the scene. Officers who responded found the complainant bleeding and took him to hospital. The two teenagers were later apprehended that same day at the Montego Bay urban centre.
Under Jamaican law, the age of consent is 16, meaning both girls fall below the legal threshold. Police have not released full details on how the parties were connected or whether anyone else played a part in planning the encounter.
