Day two of the opening Test at Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua brought a fragile beginning for the West Indies as they began their reply to Sri Lanka's first-innings total. Facing a target built around Sri Lanka's score of 308, the home team surrendered wickets early while the touring bowlers maintained a tight grip on proceedings.
Brandon King, opening the batting, was the first West Indian out for 31. John Campbell went soon after, contributing 39 before his dismissal. Kavem Hodge managed 16 runs and then lost his wicket, leaving the Windies three down.
By Sportstime, the Caribbean side had reached 115 for three. They still faced the task of mounting a solid answer to Sri Lanka's first-innings work and keeping themselves in the contest over the remainder of the Test.
