Reggae artiste YG Marley has reached a major career milestone as his smash hit “Praise Jah in the Moonlight” was officially certified Platinum in the United Kingdom after surpassing 600,000 units in combined sales and streams.
The achievement, announced by the British Phonographic Industry on Friday, May 8, 2026, makes the breakout anthem one of the defining reggae releases of the decade and the first reggae song released in the 2020s to earn Platinum certification in the UK. The single has also already earned Platinum certification in the United States for surpassing 1,000,000 units, further cementing its global crossover impact.
The track has reportedly amassed more than 7 million units worldwide, according to Chart Data, while YG Marley’s career has already crossed over 1 billion streams to date, driven largely by the success of the breakout anthem.
The milestone arrives as he returns with his first single of 2026, “FIYAH,” a spiritually driven reggae record rooted in themes of love, patience, spiritual connection, and divine timing, continuing his rise as one of reggae’s most compelling new voices.
