Recently elected councillor for the Sav-la-Mar Division, Julian Chang, has resigned from the People’s National Party (PNP) with immediate effect, CVM News has learned.
Sources say the resignation follows an internal party matter that reportedly led Chang to threaten legal action against another PNP member.
While details surrounding the resignation remain unclear, party insiders have confirmed that her departure creates a vacancy in the Sav-la-Mar Division.
The PNP is expected to issue a formal statement in the coming days. Efforts to obtain a comment from the party’s executive up to news time were unsuccessful.
