Manchester Double Murder: A father and son were found shot dead inside a house in New Forest, Manchester, early Friday morning in a killing that has shocked residents and heightened concerns about rising violence in the parish.

According to police reports, residents heard explosions around 12:15 a.m. and alerted authorities. When officers responded to the location, they discovered the two men with their hands bound and suffering from what appeared to be gunshot wounds.

Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene.

The son has been identified by community members as an aspiring recording artiste known by the alias “Fido.” However, the police had not officially confirmed the identities of either victim up to publication time.

Investigators have not yet established a motive for the killings.

The incident comes amid a sharp increase in murders within the Manchester Police Division. Police statistics show that 14 murders were recorded in the division up to May 31, compared with eight during the corresponding period last year, representing a 75 per cent increase.

Police investigations into the double murder are ongoing.
