PORTLAND, Jamaica — Police are investigating the discovery of the body of a female infant in bushes near the Registrar General’s Department building at West Palm Court in Port Antonio on Wednesday.
According to investigators, the infant’s body was found with one hand and both feet missing, injuries believed to have been caused by animals after the body was left in the area.
The gruesome discovery has prompted an investigation as detectives work to determine the circumstances surrounding the infant’s death and how the body came to be abandoned.
No arrests have been made, and police are urging anyone with information that could assist the investigation to contact the Port Antonio Police or the nearest police station.
