Police hunt for mother after foetus found near Port Antonio Registrar's office

1 min readPortland

Police in Port Antonio have opened an inquiry and begun looking for a mother after a female foetus was discovered in undergrowth beside the Registrar General’s Department building at West Palm Court on Wednesday.

Officers said the remains appeared to be about six to seven months along, and that one hand and both feet were missing — injuries they believe were caused by animals biting the body.

As the case proceeds, detectives plan to visit medical centres to review records of antenatal and other maternal attendances in an effort to identify the woman involved.
