Spanish Town Man Dies After Being Found Injured in Gully

A police investigation is now underway following the death of a man who was discovered seriously injured in a gully in Tawes Pen, Spanish Town, St Catherine.

The deceased has been identified as 36-year-old Orane Goldbourne, a labourer from the community.

Reports indicate that around 4 a.m. on Saturday, residents and passersby came upon Goldbourne lying inside a gully with a wound to the back of his head. He was reportedly in critical condition when assistance arrived.

He was transported to the Spanish Town Hospital for emergency treatment but later succumbed to his injuries about 10 p.m. on Sunday.

Investigators assigned to the Spanish Town Criminal Investigation Branch are continuing inquiries to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police have not yet disclosed how Goldbourne sustained the fatal injury as the probe remains ongoing.
