Beenie Man rejects Future Fambo assault claim after Boom Sundays allegation

Beenie Man is denying an allegation that he assaulted fellow dancehall artiste Future Fambo at Boom Sundays.
The artiste, long known as the "King of the Dancehall", addressed the matter in a statement posted to his official Instagram account earlier today, May 19. In the statement, he called the accusation “false, malicious, and defamatory” and asked that any post, video or publication carrying the claim be removed at once.
The statement also said Beenie Man’s management has retained legal representation and plans to contest the allegation through the courts.
The dispute surfaced earlier today after Future Fambo used a social media live stream to claim that an altercation happened at the event. He said the alleged incident was not recorded on video, but pointed to people he described as witnesses who, he said, saw what took place.
Online discussion has since linked the tension to “Rum & Red Bull” and streamer IShowSpeed’s recent Jamaica livestream. The talk reportedly began after Fambo publicly criticised Beenie Man for not naming him as the featured artiste on the track.
