
The police have named the infant who died in a three vehicle crash on the Pepper Main Road in St Elizabeth yesterday morning.
The child is 5-month-old Kamarala Forbes of Haughton District in the parish.
The child’s 18-year-old mother remains hospitalised following the crash.
Police reports are that at about 10:30 am– the mother and child were among four people travelling in a Toyota Voxy when the vehicle in turning right onto a community road crossed the path of a Nissan pickup truck on the Pepper Main Road resulting in a collision.
The Nissan pickup then collided with a ford pickup.
Four people were rushed to the Mandeville Regional Hospital where the child was pronounced dead on arrival.
Investigations are ongoing.
