
A St Mary man who allegedly found himself under a barrage of stones after stepping into a dispute between a woman and her children's father is now before the courts after police say he pulled a gun and threatened her.
The accused is 23-year-old Nakeim Clarke, otherwise called 'Naco', of Cromwell Land, St Mary.
According to reports from the Highgate Police, the incident occurred in Clonmel district on Thursday, June 11.
Investigators say Clarke became involved in a dispute between a woman and the father of her children. During the confrontation, the woman allegedly threw stones at him.
Police allege that Clarke then brandished a firearm, pointed it at the woman and threatened her.
The matter was reported to the police and an investigation launched.
Following inquiries, Clarke was charged with possession of a prohibited weapon, assault at common law and using a firearm to commit a felony.
His court date is being finalised.
